Who we are?

King's Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome at King's Church.

Where to park?

As a church we are situated on the main road through the centre of Little Lever on the 524 bus route (with a stop outside our gates). We encourage people to park responsibly on the surrounding streets, or on the public car parks in Little Lever. We want to be good news with how we park. Please note the car parking at the Haven (houses behind church) is for residence only.

When to arrive:

If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 10.20am. For directions to reach us please see the map on the bottom of the welcome page. You'll be greeted on the door by our welcoming team.

What to wear:

This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not.

What to expect:

For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at King's. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something please simply ask. We start our meeting at 10.30am our meetings are typically hosted by two people who will welcome everyone and generally steer the meeting,  we then spend sometime worshipping. Our worship time consists of a range of songs (with guitars, keyboards and drums). Everyone participates in the worship but at about 11am the kids go to their own Powerhouse groups which are designed to be a great space the children to encounter God together, we also have two creches for parents to take their little ones into if they would like too. We then have a talk from the bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. As a church we believe that God can speak to all those who follow him (John 10:27), so if people sense that God is wanting to say something, this maybe through reading a bible passage, sharing a picture or a prophetic word, then we ask them to share them with the hosts of the meeting. The hosts will then work out if the word should be shared and where it will fit into out time together. We finish our meeting around midday, with tea and coffee. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.
