Celebration
Our Sunday Celebration is the apex of our week. We gather together as one community to Worship, Encounter the Presence of God, Be Shaped By God's Word and to Fellowship together as a community
Timings
Our service starts at 10:30am and we aim to finish the celebration at 12 midday. We then have a brew together, which is a great time to get to know people, and catch up.
Worship
Worship is centred on Jesus — for Him, about Him, and directed to Him. In our celebrations, we fix our eyes on Jesus, giving thanks and expressing our love through song. We’ve found that worship is a powerful place of encouragement, transformation, and encounter with God’s presence. This is often expressed through singing as we tell God how much we love Him, thanking him for who He is and what He has done in our lives. Singing together is a joyful and meaningful part of who we are.
Being Led By The Holy Spirit
As a church we want our times together to be led by the Holy Spirit. We believe God speaks today and so we want to create space to hear what he would say to us in our celebrations. We believe that the Holy Spirit is guiding our teams as they prepare for our a celebrations. Along side this often people in the celebration sense the Holy Spirit share a message for the church with them, this can be through a scripture, a picture, a prophetic word, a tongue etc. As a community we want to submit to each other out of love for Christ, so we ask people to go and share it with one of the people leading the celebration who can then weigh up when/if its appropriate to be shared.
Creche
If you have a toddler or a baby you are so welcome to stay in our celebration we really don't mind noise. We also have two creche rooms, with a bunch of toys, changing mats, high chairs with the service shown live on TV. These can be a great space to take your little one during the celebration.
What to Expect
Our celebration is informal and relaxed. If it is your first visit to King’s Church look for one of the Greeting Team who will be happy to help make you feel at home, we want you to have a great time with us.
Teaching
Each week we hear teaching from the bible. Our team bring out biblical truths that challenge and encourage us in how we live our lives and how we are shaped by our love for Jesus.
Children
Our children are a huge part of our church. During our celebrations our primary school aged children stay in the celebration till around 11am and then have a tailored 1 hour session where they worship, encounter the presence of God and are taught from the bible.
